I
will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed
and he shall bruise you on the head and you shall bruise him on the heal.
Genesis 3:15 - this is the first Messianic prophecy.
It proves to us, that the Messiah's genealogy will be from a woman and not a man.
and her seed
Women do NOT have seeds!!
Even when Moses traced the genealogy of the coming Messiah, he saw the Messiah’s ancestry through His mother, not His father. Even the prophet Isaiah said the Messiah would be
born of a virgin and have no human father.
Genesis 3:15 says, I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed and he (Messiah to come) shall bruise you on the head and you shall bruise him on the heal.
God was speaking to the devil, the serpent himself, Satan. This took place after the devil deceived Adam and Eve in the garden. Messiah crushing the serpent’s head proves the end of the book is true. The crushing of the head is fatal; unlike bruising of the heel.
Remember, even Eve was present when God spoke to the devil that is why she thought the Messiah would come through Cain. She knew a God-man would come!
Let us go back to Genesis 4:1 When Cain was born, Eve said I have gotten a man child with the help of the Lord. According to Arnold Fruchtenbaun, the words,
the help of the Lord was added later. The original text read: I have gotten a man: Jehovah.
Enter back into the story, the devil. That is why the devil had Cain kill Abel
and why he tried to taint the “gene” pool of humanity by having his fallen angels breed with the women of Noah’s day. Only eight were found “pure” and entered the ark.
The flood came, not only destroying the men and women but also the demonic creatures made between the demons and the women. They were called Nephilim. That account is found in Genesis 6:1-4
From Noah came Abraham’s genealogy.
From the seed of Abraham
came the seed of Judah. We know from reading scripture that Israel was divided into two kingdoms the northern Kingdom and the southern Kingdom. We read in Ezekiel 21:25-27 that the Messiah would be the lion from the tribe of Judah.
A little bit of history.
When the temple was burned to the ground and not one stone was left upon another, the tribe of Judah lost its identity at that time because everything that pointed to the tribe of Judah that was in the temple was lost. Clearly, from that alone, the
Messiah had to have come before AD70.
Isaiah 7:1-17 talks about their Messiah being born of a virgin.
The book of Isaiah points to Messiah in many other passages. They say that Messiah:
- He would be a king;
- He would be both God and man;
- He would be anointed by the Holy Spirit;
- He would be meek and gentle;
- He would die;
- He would be rejected;
- He would be buried in a rich man's tomb; and
- He would be resurrected.
Jesus, Yeshua, Messiah, came the first time, and all those biblical prophecies have been fulfilled.
One can only read the history books and the proof of his resurrection are all right there.
Yeshua is not a story of make-believe.
Over 500 people, in the history books, have proven that Jesus was seen after
his resurrection.
You must believe in something. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, nobody comes to the father except through me.
You must believe in something. For God so loved the world that he gave his only because under that whosoever believes in him will not perish life.
You must believe in
something.
