Not to rehash but are we not living in some crazy times? I mean even one who does not walk with Lord can feel and see strangeness all around.
The bible gives us some key passages for us to understand the last days and what exactly is happening.
As I write this, Larry is on track to hit the Northeast.
This year has brought more flooding than in previous years. Tropical Storm Henri and Grace brought flooding to many areas.
Grace came through shortly after Haiti was already rocked by a 7.2 earthquake. The hurricane season is off to a powerful start and Lord willingly, if we are still here, how will it finish?
Earthquakes are on the rise. A 7.0 earthquake just hit Acapulco, Mexico City on September 7, 2021.
We all know about the devastating one that hit Haiti on August 14th. With everything going on, that seems so long ago, right?
Lumber, gas, wheat, coal, and corn are all higher than ever. Lumber has almost quadrupled. I have picked up many folks in construction and this is FACT. Regardless of what PolitiFact, Facebook “fact-checkers” have to say.
Wheat and corn. Yes, folks Corn. We all buy food. We can all see how overnight a gallon of milk went from $3.00 to $4.50 or cereal from 3 or 4 buck to 5 or 6 bucks.
The constant talk of new covid variants. Now we have the Mu variant. How about we just MU out and stop talking about this all the time. How are the “detecting” anything when the test cannot do that?
The botched job in Afghanistan to the uprising of the now Taliban and other radical groups. The rise of China and again North Korea.
When we live in worrisome times, we should go to God who does not worry.
WE need to be real and organic. Even the church can be fearful when looking around at what is happening around.
Verses I want to leave you with and expound on a bit more.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear (An unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger, real or imagined) not, for I am with you (God walking alongside of you); be not dismayed, for I am your God (God IS our God); I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Trust (a firm belief in God’s truth) in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (your way of incorrect thinking). In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
One of the hardest verses to understand. How can we say this if one loses their job, spouse, child, or even death? This verse cannot be applied to the unsaved. The reason is they reject the very essence of who God is. As Jams stated,
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious (worry and fear are always part of anxiousness) about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving.
Prayer is not supplication. However, supplication is prayer. Prayer can simply be a praise time with you and the Lord or bringing requests for others to the Lord.
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 34:4-5
I sought (your desire to find something) the Lord and He answered me and rescued me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed.
In conclusion, worrisome times are the test of who we really are in Christ. Hold tight to the 365 references given to us in the Scriptures regarding fear. God knew we would all go through this!
Man, it’s crazy out there.
The bible gives us some key passages for us to understand the last days and what exactly is happening.
Romans 8:22-23 – For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only that, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons and daughters, the redemption of our body.
2 Thessalonians 2:2 tells us not to be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed.
I love how the New Life Version translates 2 Timothy 3:1-5
You must understand that in the last days there will come times of much trouble.
The Characteristics of People In The Last Days:
- People will love themselves and money.
- They will have pride and tell of all the things they have done.
- They will speak against God.
- Children and young people will not obey their parents.
- People will not be thankful and they will not be holy.
- They will not love each other. No one can get along with them.
- They will tell lies about others.
- They will not be able to keep from doing things they know they should not do.
- They will be wild and want to beat and hurt those who are good.
- They will not stay true to their friends.
- They will act without thinking.
- They will think too much of themselves.
- They will love fun instead of loving God. They will do things to make it look as if they are Christians. But they will not receive the power that is for a Christian.
Keep away from such people.
the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now
Hurricane season is off to a powerful start.
Ida, who just bore down on the Gulf of Mexico as a category one, seemed to intensify overnight. By the time she made landfall, she was a category four with winds at 150 mph. Bringing record flooding to Louisiana. Even after she downgraded, catastrophic flooding hit NY, NJ, MD, and Pennsylvania.
Please hear me, these are not “signs” of the rapture. They are stage settings of what is to come.

God has not been sitting on His throne baffled at what has been going. He knows the day and hour when this current age will end and all of this will be like a cakewalk...
Let us not sit around in our superman apparel.
WE need to be real and organic. Even the church can be fearful when looking around at what is happening around.

Yes, sorry LONG blog today. Sorry. I want to make sure You have enough reading for the weekend. 🤣I do not post on weekends. I do need some sort of life. ;-)
Fear (An unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger, real or imagined) not, for I am with you (God walking alongside of you); be not dismayed, for I am your God (God IS our God); I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
To break this down for you, God is saying:
- Fear not, I am your God and I am with you.
- Fear not, I will come to your rescue.
- Fear not, I see your anxiousness and I will maintain you by holding you with my hand. That word righteous is part of His hand. Righteousness is who God is. He is genuine. Why wouldn’t you want to hold a genuine hand in times of fear?
Trust (a firm belief in God’s truth) in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (your way of incorrect thinking). In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

I count it all Joy!
James 1:2-4
Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Philippians 4:6-7

Prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving.
I pray using the A.C.T.S. method:
- Adoration – tell God how awesome He is
- Confession – for some, they do not feel the need for this. I get it. I do it anyway because it keeps me close to Jesus
- Thanksgiving - tell God what you are thankful for
- Supplications – bring your requests to Him
Prayer is not supplication. However, supplication is prayer. Prayer can simply be a praise time with you and the Lord or bringing requests for others to the Lord.
