Routines, routines routines, one day, I won't be so busy!

I was driving to work this morning. Talking to God and thinking, "man, another day, another SAME routine, another drive with idiot drivers, another, another, another. On a side note, I really do not mind the drive each morning. This is my view 😁

Do you ever feel the monotony of daily life wears on you? The routine of being a mom, a provider, a husband, a wife, a friend, a pastor, can be, well, routine?

Do you ever just say, man, what can I do to change up this routine? I am so guilty of doing the same things day after day. Insane, yes I know but are we not all doing that?

I get up, every morning, and when the alarm clock rings, I behave like this:

My routine begins.

Coffee first, nothing else can function in my morning without it! What is that function you use in the morning to get you going before you can "face" the day? Me, I say, please do not engage until...

COFFEE!!

Well back to my routine. I am sure you are so excited to know what I do every day.

Coffee, sort of wake up, and then, bathroom time, dress, pack breakfast/lunch, grab backpack, head out the door, lock door, say, "wow it's humid this a.m." get in car, turn on AC immediately, plug in phone so I can enjoy nice music on my 20+ min drive to work.

GEESH that idiot just cut me off...oh wait, you did not want that kind of real talk, but you know me.

After my drive into work, I park, walk my 10 minutes to work, enter work and work until lunch.

At lunch time, I try to read my bible and/or prayer time.

I go off into my little conference room and look out from the 20th floor and I get to see the Hillsborough River and the Tampa Bay. It's so funny when you see the storm clouds on the horizon and the kayakers, paddleboarders and boats rush into the bay to beat out the storm. Oh wait, isn't it a No WAKE zone? OH never mind, they do not care since they do not want to get struck by lighting. Who is monitoring that anyway?

After lunch, I continue to work until I leave at 5:30. I Uber until 7:30 or 8:00. See why I get over drivers quick? I spend a lot of time in my car.

Now it's relax time, right? I get home, try to unwind, scarf dinner and try to relax with some TV.

But no, Podcast duty calls. If you only knew how many hours I spend on this show to make sure you all like it and stay engaged, I'd probably have more than 20 views.

After all of that work, it's off to bed. Pop my Olly night time gummies and in a few short minutes...

I am knocked out...ready to do it ALLLL over again

I feel routines take away what is needed most in my life. Time with Jesus. Fellowship with the very one who knows me. Fellowship with my best friend! Again, I pray, it's the reading time I lack!

I am honest and organic. I say all of this because I am wondering, do you feel as if you are WAY to Busy?

How do you keep God first in the busy?

I mean, my thoughts race when I know I have a lot to do. Do yours?

I read the word but only for a short amount of time.

I do honestly pray a lot! That is one thing I cannot go without on a daily basis.

      • Well if you are not too busy (pun intended) feel free to comment and let me know what your daily routine is like.
      • How do you insert prayer and Bible reading into it.

Now, if you do not work, please understand, with all due respect, you have time that most of us wish we had. You can do what most of us cannot.

That comment is NOT for any stay at home moms. You work...all the time and it never ends.

Routines, routines routines, one day, I won't be so busy!

Days of Noah

Noah’s day… 1,600 years had passed from the time of creation  until the flood. If you read the account in Genesis 6 you can see how very bad it was.  It is said, the population in Noah's day was around 6 billion people. Everyone lived so long while re-populating the earth.  Hence the reason AFTER the flood, God made man’s lifespan 1/8 of what it used to be.  Verse 3 in Genesis 6  Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years   In Noah’s day, you had Nephilites. They were fallen angels who were bred with humans.   Genesis 6:4 In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times Let us see how God felt about humanity... The Lord observed the extent of human...

12-21-22 Maybe Today

We all seem to pass right by the first four verses in Luke. We get to the part when our savior, Jesus was born but have you taken time to study out the first four verses? This part seems to be omitted when telling the CHRIST mas story, or as we pagans say, the birth of Christ.  Why do we, as followers of Christ, believe that a sinless man came to earth and that His sole purpose was to die on a cross for all the sins of the world. Luke 1:1-4 Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus; so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught . WOW!! Did you catch it? As Luke penned this to Theophilus, Luke also explained to him that h...

10-03-2022 - Maybe Today

Hello! It has been a LONG time, 3 months since my last "Maybe Today". I was transitioning jobs and also focusing more on the podcast and other personal issues.  I was prompted to write today and discuss false teachers and why the growth spurt seems to be happening all around us. It seems like we hear everyday of someone new shaming the name of Christ or spewing more false doctrine!  Just recently, Matt Chandler comes to mind. I could say a lot more on him and other Calvinists but that is for another time.  Those who follow the ticking clock of the times we live in, know what  1 Timothy 4:1-3  says. However, Jude 17-18 gives us more insight by saying,   But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, "In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts .  These are the SAME enemies which have entered the church and  2 ...
