Proverbs Week: Proverbs 12

Proverbs Week

I love the stark contrast between the wise/righteous and the foolish/wicked in this Proverb.
This is the PERFECT Proverb that shines a big light on why we are seeing what we are seeing in our culture today.

Which part of this Proverb are you?

I am using the New English Translation (NET).
Proverbs Chapter 12

The one who loves 💓discipline loves 💓 knowledge,

but the one who hates 😠 reproof (reprimand, reproach, condemnation) is stupid.

In today's culture, we see 👀people hating to be reprimanded or "judged" based off of how they live.

Proverbs is so relevant for today, would you agree? I hope you stick with me and we seek to understand why these contrasts are so important. It allows us to really dive into the fallen behavior of many and have a better understanding of why the lost are the way that they are.

The lost are NEVER to far from God's reach!! WE must all remember that!

A good person obtains favor from the Lord,

but the Lord condemns a person with wicked 👿 schemes. (This will come soon. Read Psalm Chapter 2)

No one can be established through wickedness, (many things break and fall when established through wickedness. Look at our country! Since the election of Barrack Obama in 2008, we have become morally corrupt and have been established through wickedness.)

but a righteous root cannot be moved.

A noble wife is the crown 👑of her husband,

but the wife who acts shamefully is like rottenness in his bones. 🦴(That is a very harsh statement. Be a good godly wife.)

The plans of the righteous are just;

the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.(Counsels - those who advice, consult, advocate, confer. The leaders of the world are under the consulting advise of many wicked people and organizations. We see that in everything that is happening our the globe.)

The words of the wicked lie in wait to shed innocent blood,
🩸Planned Parenthood
🩸BLM
🩸Antifa
🩸the White House
🩸Media

but the words of the upright will deliver them.

The wicked are overthrown and perish, (This WILL come. God's in control!)

but the righteous household will stand.

A person will be praised in accordance with his wisdom,

but the one with a bewildered mind will be despised.

Better is a person of humble standing who works for himself,

than one who pretends to be somebody important yet has no food.(WOW!!! How this is 100% the world we live in today. Keeping up with the Jones'. Fancy cars, homes, clothes, shoes, etc.)

A righteous person cares for the life of his animal,

but even the most compassionate acts of the wicked are cruel. (I love this verse. It just confirms Jeremiah 17:9 and many other verses regarding the condition of our hearts. That is so powerful. Read that part again, but even the most compassionate acts of the wicked are cruel.)

The one who works his field will have plenty of food,

but whoever chases daydreams
(Strong delusions, fantasies, illusions.) lacks sense. (This part sums up a lot of people today. Wanting everything handed to them. They can't lose so we award trophies for losers. It's okay to place 4th, 5th or 10th. Just work harder! Not everyone is going to win! Daydreaming while thinking social media is how people really are. YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat raising your kids. Giving them a false idea of what reality is. They have ZERO discipline. STOP giving them all false dreams and not letting them understand reality. STOP coddling them and so much more can be said here!)

The wicked person has desired the stronghold of the wicked, (this verse is very powerful!! This is saying the wicked just want to dominate all that the wicked have. They do not seek anything of good moral.)

but the root of the righteous will yield fruit

The evil person is ensnared by the transgression of his speech, (I cannot wait for this day to come. Such evil we have in our world today. These people are trapped, snared, entangled in their sinful speech. WOW really guys WOW!! I think of the world stage as I type this.)

but the righteous person escapes out of trouble. (The RAPTURE☁
🎺🎺☁ - one day, here soon I hope!)

A person will be satisfied with good from the fruit of his words,

and the work of his hands 👐will be rendered to him.

The way of a fool is right in his own opinion, (I speak my truth. You speak your truth. However, there is ONLY one truth so both of us cannot have our own truth on the same matter. RIGHT in HIS OWN opinion.)
FACTS! Thanks Solomon!!

but the one who listens 🦻to advice is wise.

(Advice on Covid, 😷 Vaccines💉, falsehood, etc. Who are you listening to??)

A fool’s annoyance is known at once,
(Sometimes I can be very foolish here. Learning and have come a long way :-))

but the prudent conceals dishonor.

The faithful witness tells what is right,

but a false witness speaks deceit.(Revert back to Proverbs 6)

Speaking recklessly is like the thrusts of a sword
(What do swords ⚔ do? Kill! Be reminded on how we should speak.🗣 I am guilty of this - getting better but still guilty)

but the words of the wise bring healing.

The one who tells the truth will endure forever,

but the one who lies will last only for a moment. (Many are living in this moment right now. However, God will show up big time. That time, is hopefully soon)

Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
(Plots of evil are everywhere. These people CDC, WHO, HHS, FBI, WEF, White House 🏘, Media all have deceit in their hearts)

but those who promote peace have joy. (I have JOY in today's world, do you?)

No harm will be directed at the righteous,
(The WHOLE Tribulation 🔥🌋⚡🚨🚧 is directed at the wicked. Another verse proving we won't be here.)

but the wicked are filled with calamity. (This verse again, will come. The Tribulation is NOT for the Church.)

The Lord abhors a person who lies, (Revert back to Proverbs 6)

but those who deal truthfully are his delight.

The shrewd person conceals knowledge, (Plots of evil are everywhere. These people CDC, WHO, HHS, FBI, WEF, White House, Media all have deceit in their hearts)

but foolish people proclaim folly.

The diligent person will rule,

but the slothful will be put to forced labor.

Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs him down, (What we are seeing in today's culture. Everyone is anxious.)

but an encouraging word brings him joy. (Stay in the WORD of God, stay in prayer and STAY close to like minded Spirit filled believers)

The righteous person is cautious in his friendship, (This is so me, what about you?)

but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

The lazy person does not roast his prey,

but personal possessions are precious to the diligent.

In the path of righteousness there is life, (John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.)

but another path leads to death. (Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.)

Days of Noah

Noah’s day… 1,600 years had passed from the time of creation  until the flood. If you read the account in Genesis 6 you can see how very bad it was.  It is said, the population in Noah's day was around 6 billion people. Everyone lived so long while re-populating the earth.  Hence the reason AFTER the flood, God made man’s lifespan 1/8 of what it used to be.  Verse 3 in Genesis 6  Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years   In Noah’s day, you had Nephilites. They were fallen angels who were bred with humans.   Genesis 6:4 In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times Let us see how God felt about humanity... The Lord observed the extent of human...

12-21-22 Maybe Today

We all seem to pass right by the first four verses in Luke. We get to the part when our savior, Jesus was born but have you taken time to study out the first four verses? This part seems to be omitted when telling the CHRIST mas story, or as we pagans say, the birth of Christ.  Why do we, as followers of Christ, believe that a sinless man came to earth and that His sole purpose was to die on a cross for all the sins of the world. Luke 1:1-4 Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus; so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught . WOW!! Did you catch it? As Luke penned this to Theophilus, Luke also explained to him that h...

10-03-2022 - Maybe Today

Hello! It has been a LONG time, 3 months since my last "Maybe Today". I was transitioning jobs and also focusing more on the podcast and other personal issues.  I was prompted to write today and discuss false teachers and why the growth spurt seems to be happening all around us. It seems like we hear everyday of someone new shaming the name of Christ or spewing more false doctrine!  Just recently, Matt Chandler comes to mind. I could say a lot more on him and other Calvinists but that is for another time.  Those who follow the ticking clock of the times we live in, know what  1 Timothy 4:1-3  says. However, Jude 17-18 gives us more insight by saying,   But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, "In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts .  These are the SAME enemies which have entered the church and  2 ...
