What does A.C.T.S. mean and how can it help your prayer life?
This could be a new way to start a productive prayer life.
Can't say I made this up. I heard about this years ago. I have tried to make it work and keep with this pattern for a long time.
Time with our Adonai is most precious. one we should never take for granted.
To know that I can go directly to Jesus is a blessed feeling. its a bond that no other religion can offer. Jesus is my only mediator. how powerful is that?
I will give an outline to this method. feel free use it and share it in the hopes that it may help others get a more productive, kingdom minded prayer life!
A.C.T.S.A - doration - Giving praise, worship, respect, reverence to God.
Call God by His other names while you are in your prayer time. Perhaps the names listed below, will help you speak to God in a more open and real way.
Knowing His names can be life changing.
Who is God really?
His names say who He is.
I have listed a mere fraction below. I recommend taking time out to know more of the names of God. You will be surprised how you remember them in times of need. The more you know about God and His character, the more you can boldly and confidently go to Him in the "A.C.T.S" technique.
He is not some "big man in the sky" who ignores the pleas of His people.
By the way, I loathe when folks call God, "hey big man" - disrespect for the HOLINESS of God.
- El (God)- as found in Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays His handiwork.
- Elohim
- Jehovah Rapha (Healer)
- Jehovah Jireh (Provider)
- Jehovah Nissi (Banner)
- Adonai (Lord)
- YHWH (YaHWeH) some say this is the sound of our breathing. Breathing in while saying Yah and out while saying Weh. Not sure if this is New-Aging but I've done it while in praise mode. Just thought I would suggest this.
- El Shalom (God of Peace)
- The Potter
- Consuming Fire
- Rock
- Savior

C - confession - Now many people say they do not need to do this once they are saved. I agree.
However, if you do something wrong against your spouse, do you not feel the need to tell them sorry or confess something to them? The longer the wrong is done against them, the harder it is to tell them. You become distant or rude. Something is bothering you and they know it.
Same principle
I think we'd all agree, if I lingered in my sin, my relationship with God would suffer.
I would not pray as much, read His word or even fellowship in church.
I, not god, i would feel distant.
AGAIN, I DO NOT BELIEE IN WORKS (LORDSHIP) TO MAINTAIN YOUR SALVATION, OR THAT ONE CAN LOSE THEIR SALAVTION.
Skip this part if you'd like. I enjoy confessing to God. Sin COULD hinder your relationship with God. NOT the eternal security part but as with any relationship, the closeness to your Savior can be hindered.
James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.
Ephesians 4:30
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

S - upplication - Humbly praying to God!
What is the difference between prayer and supplication?
When you pray, you do not always ask. Prayer can praise or just thankfulness to God. Prayer can also be talking to God.
Prayer is a continued act.
However, when you pray with supplication, your pleading to God. Is there something you need to plead to God about?
Supplication is used when you want to petition the throne room of God.
Perhaps something for you or perhaps a time of pure humble prayer for a lost loved one.
Understanding that prayer and supplication are different things, may change how you pray.
Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Go to God for the small
Go to God for the big
Whatever you do
Don't stop going to God!
